WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
- We are located on 25520 Austin Road in Daphne, AL, in the Belforest Area and in Robertsdale, Alabama at, 23013 South Grissom Drive, 36567.
- For the Daphne location, there is a large building at the back of the property that has been converted into a Metal Working Studio. "Southern Oak Expressions" may appear when you Google the address, which was the name of a previous business years ago.
PURPOSE:
- The purpose of the Non-Profit, Forging A Difference, is serve those who serve through COMRADERY. CONNECTION & COMMUNITY.
HOW?
- COMRADERY - The environment naturally lends itself to creating a community developed around knife making. From our time eating, discussing various topics, and conversations throughout the class, friendships and connections are made. These connections often even continue well beyond the classes and can develop into meaningful freiendships.
- CONNECTION - Our goal is to develop strategic relationships with other local Veteran Organizations. Our hope is to use these connections to create an informal network to match those with various needs with other Veteran focused organizations that can help meet those needs.
- COMMUNITY - Our goal is to help those who desire to use Blacksmithing and/or Knifemaking as a way to serve the community. Serving the community may be through the creation of a fulltime or part-time business, community demonstrations, mentoring others or by creating friendships and encouraging one another who share a common bond of selflessly serving.
